Precision granulation
Precision granulation for low-dose formulations

Overview:
When an active ingredient makes up only a small part of a formula, simply mixing the powders may not be enough. Differences in particle size, density and flow can cause ingredients to separate again as the blend moves through production.
The challenge:
In this example, just 5 mg of active ingredient needs to remain evenly distributed inside a 500 mg capsule fill. A blend can look uniform after mixing but begin to separate during transfer, hopper discharge or filling. This can make consistent dosing harder to maintain throughout the production run.
Our approach:
We use precision granulation before final blending to create particles with more compatible size, density and flow characteristics. This helps the low-dose ingredient remain evenly distributed throughout the blend instead of separating during handling and filling.
The result is a more stable blend, better powder flow and more consistent dosing during production.

What precision granulation improves:
More uniform distribution of low-dose ingredients
Lower risk of segregation during transfer and filling
Better and more predictable powder flow
More consistent dosing and fill weights
Less fine powder and dust during handling
When an ingredient represents only a small part of the formula, the way it is processed matters just as much as the way it is mixed.
